12:00pm - 01:00pm | Hybrid (E25-141 and on zoom <https://mit.zoom.us/j/2107649429>)

Join the PDA for our monthly general meeting to hear news about and from the MIT postdoctoral community and the upcoming MIT PDA elections time-line!

Dear MIT Postdocs,

We hope this message finds you well and you are thriving in your research endeavors! We are excited to inform you that the MIT Postdoctoral Association (MIT PDA) will be conducting elections for all committees <https://pda.mit.edu/about/officers/> in the coming weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to the postdoc community and help shape the direction of our association.

Serving on the PDA not only allows you to represent your fellow postdocs but also provides a platform to advocate for your needs, facilitate networking opportunities, and promote professional development initiatives. To ensure that all interested postdocs have a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities, as well as the election process, we will be organizing a series of information sessions. These sessions will cover topics such as the structure of the PDA, the roles of each position, the election timeline, and how to nominate yourself or others for a position.

Attending the information sessions will enable you to make an informed decision about running for a position within the PDA (the by-laws are attached to this email). Additionally, it will provide an opportunity to connect with current members, ask questions, and learn more about the PDA’s ongoing projects and activities. The sessions will be held on the following dates and times via Zoom <https://mit.zoom.us/j/2107649429>:

Wednesday, 6/28/2023 from 12 pm to 1pm
Wednesday, 7/05/2023 from 12 pm to 1pm

We look forward to your active participation in the upcoming PDA elections and information sessions. Together, we can make a positive impact on the postdoc community and create a supportive environment for all. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to the current PDA leadership at contactpda at mit.edu <mailto:contactpda at mit.edu>.

Best regards,
Your PDA
