MIT PDA excellence in postdoctoral mentoring award.

Is your PI an excellent mentor during your postdoctoral experience at 
MIT? Then make sure to read this! The PDA is soon opening the nomination 
period for the “Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award”. The goal of 
the proposed award is to honor and acknowledge MIT PIs for excellent 
postdoctoral scholar mentoring, and to recognize both the value of 
quality mentoring and its impact on the career path of postdoctoral 
scholars. The nomination portal will open soon and will require a brief 
nomination statement. Stay tuned!

Lunar New Year Celebration — Pao Arts Center

Boston celebrates Lunar New Year this week!

Meet us to watch the parade in Chinatown this Sunday. See details and 
poster for the event below:

SUNDAY, JANUARY 29

We will meet in Philip Square at 10 am for the start of the parade and 
watch until we can't resist the food smells! Depending on people's 
preferences, we might go for Dim Sum, Hot Pot, and/or pastries! The Pao 
Arts Center is offering interactive activities for families from 11 am 
to 3 pm. If you'd like to take your kids, I have 10 free tickets to give

2023 Cambridge Classic 5K road races

Join the MIT Postdoc Running Club for the Cambridge Classic 5K Series!

As the race season is wrapping up, we have created teams for the 4 2023 
Cambridge Classic 5K road races!

You can join the team “MIT Postdocs & Friends” during registration. Like 
last year, if we manage to be 20 people per race, we will have our own 
reserved tent and table in the post-race area, Cold beer waiting for our 
team after we finish and the pouring station near our tent ;-)
