MIT Postdoctoral symposium: share your idea, win prize money, and build your start-up! (August 23)

Dear postdocs,



Do you have an idea that you believe will be the next disruptive technology, but you don't know where to start yet?



The Fundraising Chair of the PDA Association, Davide Ciccarese<https://davideciccarese.com/>, in collaboration with the MIT Innovation Office and Venture Mentoring Office, is organizing an event where Postdocs can pitch their innovative idea, win prize money and find collaborations to fast-forward the process of transforming a research finding into a startup.

The event will feature all the MIT offices for innovation & entrepreneurship resources: Venture Mentoring Office (VMS), Technology Licensing Office (TLO), Solve, Social Impact and Social Entrepreneurship, The Engine, Career Advising and Professional Development (CAPD), and NSF I-Corps Program @ MIT, E14 fund, Nucleate.



What

The event will be divided in three-part:

  1.  2 minute Pitch competition: compete to win prize money for the three best pitches
  2.  Meet the startupper: learn from other startuppers, listen to the story of their journey
  3.  Connect: meet other Postdocs and Sloan students interested in finding collaborators to bring innovative ideas to the market place. Meet with the officers and funds representatives to make your first steps to funds your idea!

  *   Sloan and business students looking for tech co-founders
