Nominations Open for *The Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award*

Dear MIT Postdoctoral Scholars,



The MIT PDA in collaboration with the Office of the VPR is delighted to announce the opening of nominations for The Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award. This is an opportunity for postdoctoral scholars to recognize an MIT PI mentor for their support.

?Nominations Close: 23rd October 2021 at 11:59 PM EDT



Goal: To honor and acknowledge MIT PIs for excellent postdoctoral scholar mentoring.



Eligibility: All current MIT faculty, principal research scientists, and senior research scientists, who are in good standing at MIT, mentoring current postdoctoral scholars.



Nomination: The primary nomination must be submitted by a current MIT postdoctoral scholar, who may organize supporting statements from additional current and former postdoctoral scholars. Nominations will be collected via a standard online form (found here<https://pda.mit.edu/mentoring-award/>) that the primary nominator should fill out.



Ceremony and Award: The award recipient will be announced jointly by the VPR and the PDA in January 2022. The winner will be awarded an engraved plaque, and a recognition luncheon for the awardee and their research group.
