Please join us on Monday for a talk by the new Dean of MIT’s School of Science. Professor Nergis Mavalvala will discuss her career path, share advice and answer questions. This informal talk by Nergis Mavalvala, Curtis and Kathleen Marble Professor of Astrophysics and Dean, MIT School of Science, is designed to inspire postdoctoral scholars. Professor Mavalvala will discuss her personal career journey that led to her becoming an award-winning physicist and academic leader, and will share advice for your own career path. This event will be hosted by Maria Zuber, Vice President for Research and E.A. Griswold Professor of Geophysics.

* Resource Fair for Postdoctoral Scholars

This virtual resource fair will feature representatives from many of the important resources available to support your growing career and your life at MIT, including Career Advising and Professional Development; Center for Work, Life and Wellbeing; Community Wellness; Infinite Connection/Alumni Association; Institute Community & Equity Office; Institute Discrimination and Harassment Center; Ombud’s Office; Teaching Center; Writing Center; and Venture Mentoring Service. Postdocs attending will be eligible for raffle prizes awarded during the event.
