Join the PDA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Work
All postdocs are invited to join the PDA’s DE&I C​ommittee<https://pda.mit.edu/resources/diversity/> monthly meeting to meet and work with other postdocs interested in the goals of DE&I. Our monthly meeting will be a place to discuss activities of the DE&I Committee, as well as share ongoing activities in different departments and outside of MIT. The committee runs ongoing diversity - focused book and journal clubs which can also be joined via the same form.

It is a free 3-week program organized to help researchers and engineers explore the potential applications of their new technologies. Patent webinar series hosted by MIT this fall 2020 semester is now open for registration! A Biotech Scientist Position​ in Boston

SUMMARY: We are seeking a Scientist to join our Protease Biology group. This person will be responsible for the development and execution of biochemical and enzymology assays to support our immuno-oncology pipeline and translational oncology.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

 ·         Perform biochemical experiments to characterize the activation of therapeutic proteins by proteases

·         Develop assays to characterize and analyze proteases expression and activity in different biological samples, including measurement of fluorescent or chemiluminescent substrate cleavage

·         Set up immunofluorescent techniques on tissue slides to analyze protease activity in situ and cleavage of our therapeutics

·         Integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to assay molecules by working with teammates, collaborators, vendors, and staying abreast of the literature

·         Enter all data into laboratory notebooks and databases on a daily basis and generate weekly progress reports for management review

·         Participation and presentation of data at group meetings

·         Mentor junior scientists
