Virtual Social Hour
The past few months have been emotional, with the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, the renewed surge of protests against police brutality, the conversations started from #ShutDownSTEM, and the recent US Supreme Court ruling in favor of workers protections for LGBT individuals. It has been a time of balancing priorities, educating and advocating for racial justice, and (hopefully) practicing self-care.

In light of all these events, we wanted to give our community an opportunity to decompress from the news by providing a space to socialize and maybe meet a few new people within qtPhDs. To that end, we are organizing a virtual social hour over <https://mit.zoom.us/j/97141532535?pwd=ZHU0dzlUcFUwdHRMWXpyTWtBajNTdz09> zoom (password: 106759) on June 25th, from 6-7pm EDT. Bring a drink of your choosing (water, tea, soda, beer, tequila sunrise, etc.) and come chat with us.

This has been a very hard time for many of us, and we at qtPhDs hope that you are all taking care of yourselves, both physically and mentally. We hope to see you on June 25th.
