Dear MIT Postdocs,
The PDA's survey<https://forms.gle/qiddfdve4eaUmkAu8> on how postdocs are hired and recruited at MIT will be closing this coming Monday July 20th. Thank you to everyone that has already responded, but if you haven’t there is still time. It takes only a minute or two, but will provide future postdocs with valuable information on what worked for all of you, and help us work to improve the process for them.
Thank you,
Kyle

Dear Postdocs,
The Postdoc Association Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee is interested in learning how postdocs are recruited and hired across MIT so that we can better understand how to recruit a diverse population of postdocs. Please take the anonymous 2 minute survey here<https://forms.gle/qiddfdve4eaUmkAu8>.
The data from this survey will be compiled and analyzed by the PDA (particularly the DE&I Committee, led by co-chair Kyle Diederichsen) to investigate trends in hiring and recruiting. Aggregate data will only be shared outside the DE&I Committee if there are enough responses such that the information is anonymous.
We intend for this information to be used:
1) To determine if the PDA should advocate for changes to the hiring process to increase postdoc diversity.
2) To help determine what metrics MIT should track as an institution for postdoc hiring and recruitment.
3) To help prospective postdocs understand what has worked for finding a position.
This survey is administered solely by the Postdoc Association and not the Institute. If you have questions about this survey, please email the Human Affairs co-chair Kyle Diederichsen, kylemd at mit.edu<mailto:kylemd at mit.edu>.
Sincerely,
PDA DE&I Committee
