Information for all international Postdoctoral Scholars:
1. International Scholars, Students & MIT Community Question & Answer Session
Thursday, February 27, 2020
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Stata Center, Building 32-123 (Kirsch Auditorium)
This session will address immigration-related topics, including:
* • 2020 Travel Ban expansion
* • Potential DHS site visits for F-1 STEM OPT employment verification*
* • USCIS lengthy application processing times
* • DHS “public charge” rule
* • and others
Panelists include representatives from the International Scholars Office, International Students Office, Office of the General Counsel and an independent immigration attorney.
* Information in this session will expand on the guidance provided to the MIT community in January. At present we know of no imminent site visits to universities in the Boston area.

Learn more about US tax filing requirements, and how to use the Sprintax tax preparation software.
