Please find below information about a mentoring program from the Massachusetts Chapter of the Association for Women in Science.
The Mentoring Circles Program is an award-winning program matching together senior and junior scientists, to form circles that meet once a month (September to May) to discuss career goals, managing different career paths, and building skills and lasting connections within the bustling Boston scientific community. Meetings are usually held in person, but this year the program will start online, and each circle can decide on changes as the year progresses.
Our mentors are experienced professionals that work in academia and industry as either scientists or in other carrier paths. You will be matched to your mentors and co-mentees according to your background, your stated goals in joining the program, and other preferences included in the application.

The application and matching process are competitive and your responses would be used to match you with the most suitable mentor and fellow mentees. a
AWIS is a non-profit organizations, and all those involved in the mentoring program, including our valuable mentors, are volunteers. The program fee for the entire year is $25, to cover operational costs.
Participation in the program requires membership in National AWIS and MASS AWIS. MIT is affiliated with AWIS, therefor if you are an MIT student or postdoc your membership in National AWIS is free, and the MASS chapter dues are 25$, required upon acceptance to the program. You do not have to be a member to apply, but you will need to join MASS AWIS upon acceptance.
