Subject: Re: MIT IAP Patent Essentials Registration Confirmation

Hello all,

Unfortunately, Ryan's and my transportation to and from Boston from NYC was cancelled in view of the snowstorm despite multiple attempts at changing our itineraries. Therefore, we will be unable to teach the Patent Essentials Workshop that was scheduled for this weekend.

Please feel free to to add Ryan and/or myself on LinkedIn or email us and we would be more than happy to provide advice about law school if that is of interest to you or answer any queries about patent law doctrine that you may have, provided it is within our purview to answer.

Again, we apologize (on behalf of the weather) for any inconvenience this may have caused and wish you the best!

-Julian and Ryan

Hello all,

Thank you very much for your interest in the IAP Patent Essentials course being held this Saturday from 2pm-6pm in 6-120. You are successfully registered. We hope we can make this both a useful and fun 4 hours. We have structured the presentation so that we can answer as many of the questions you listed when you registered while also covering patent law holistically. There will be cookies/pastries and coffee during three 10 minute breaks. We like to keep things informal and interactive, and encourage questions throughout the presentation and during the breaks. We only ask that you keep questions to a decent number and scope so that all participants still feel involved and we cover all the material.

Just a few additional logistical comments: Audio/video recording will not be permitted. Furthermore, the PowerPoint slides will not be distributed. However, you are welcome to take notes (on paper or with laptops/tablets), and you are encouraged to do so. Attending the workshop does not constitute forming an attorney-client relationship and I am not bound to protect your confidentiality if you choose to disclose your inventions nor am I liable for any consequence resulting from acting upon what you learn.

The weather outside might be frightful but rest assured that the patent law discussion will be delightful. Again, we look forward to meeting on Saturday and talking to you about patent law. Thank you!
