Dear MIT postdocs,

Please find below information about a mentoring program from the
Massachusetts Chapter of the Association for Women in Science.

The Mentoring Circles Program is an award-winning program matching together
senior of junior scientists, to form circles that meet once a month
(September to May) to discuss carrier and personal goals, acquiring skills,
and building connections.
Our mentors are experienced professionals that work in academia and
industry as either scientists or in other carrier paths. You will be
matched to your mentors and co-mentees according to your background, goals
in joining the program, and other preferences.

Applications are due next Friday! Please apply as soon as possible.

As an MIT postdoc, your membership in AWIS is free.

Celebrating the 12th year of the Mentoring Circles Program
Now Recruiting Mentees for 2019-2020
A mentoring circle is a small group of women scientists committed to
meeting monthly to support each other with advice, encouragement, and
information. Each circle will consist of 3-5 peers and will be coordinated
by at least one experienced mentor and one connector. The MASS AWIS
mentoring committee will review submitted surveys and match you with a
circle based on interests, career goals, geography, and other factors.

We have built a community of over 300 women who are setting career goals,
learning critical skills and strengthening their network.

Fall 2019 Member Scholarship
MASS AWIS has created a scholarship fund to help offset the cost of
membership for individuals suffering from hardship. If awarded, a MASS AWIS
Member Scholarship provides financial assistance for qualified unemployed
or underemployed individuals seeking Professional, Junior, or Student
memberships. Graduate students, postdocs, and those in transition are
encouraged to apply.

If awarded, MASS AWIS will supplement 80% of the National membership and
50% of the Chapter membership. In addition, awardees will be given "MASS
AWIS Bucks" proportional to the membership level. These "bucks" can be used
to pay for MASS AWIS events or mentoring circle fees.
