Speaker Bio: Nicole M. Stata is the Founder and a General Partner of Boston Seed Capital. Boston Seed Capital is an early stage seed investor in consumer digital, machine learning & AI, and in platform markets. The fund has invested in over 40 startups over the past six years.
Prior to founding Boston Seed, Nicole founded Deploy Solutions in 1996, an award winning provider of SAAS Human Capital Management. As CEO and President, she led Deploy for eleven years through its sale to Kronos in 2008.
Ms. Stata has been the recipient of several awards including most recently being identified as one of 30 most influential people in technology investing in Boston by Boston Magazine. She also serves as an advisor and board member to several non profits in the Boston area.

Dr. Demanuele received her B.Eng from University of Malta in Electrical Engineering in 2006. She then pursued her doctoral studies at University of Southampton in Neural Engineering, Neural Science, and Psychology. After completing her dissertation in 2010, she became a postdoctoral researcher at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Heidelberg-Mannheim. In 2013 she became a postdoctoral research fellow in Psychiatric Neuroimaging at Harvard Medical School. She was an Insight Health Data Science Fellow in 2016 and became a Data Scientist at Biogen. She is now the Associate Director of Biostatistics, Early Clinical Development, Neuroscience at Pfizer.

Friends and colleagues may join only if they have an athletics membership (otherwise you may need to pay a 1time entrance fee that is around $15).
Beginner? Show up early to learn how to play and improve skills. The courts are located in the Zesiger center. Enter through the Vassar street entrance and the attendees at the gate should let you through if you say you are with the PDA and present MIT ID. There are bathrooms in the facility where you can change or come with someone with a membership who can give you access to the locker rooms.

MIT undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers are invited to submit their most exciting research or ventures to be showcased at the MIT Intelligence Quest (MIT IQ) Launch event (http://iqlaunch.mit.edu/) on March 1, 2018.
Abstracts submission are welcomed for an afternoon poster session on research and ideas related to human and machine intelligence, the development of core intelligence technologies, their possible applications across all areas (including research itself), their impact on innovation and the marketplace, and their ethical implications and societal consequences. All submissions — from unpublished research, to existing commercial enterprises, to probing discussions on the future of AI — are welcome.
