MIT-PDA Volunteers still needed for spooky science activities on Thursday, Oct 26th (TODAY)

Dear MIT Postdocs,


We still need 8-10 postdocs to volunteer for the Spooky Science activities happening today. Most volunteer time slots range from 1.5 hours to 2 hours.

All MIT-PDA volunteers will get a delicious packet of candy, and a giant pumpkin to take home (while supplies last). Our pumpkins are huge! If you don't believe me, just check out the attached photo!

1. Event Decorations. 1:30 PM-3:00. Moving supplies & decorations from E53-335V to Building 4-149 from 1:30 to about 2:30, then help with decorations in Building 4-149. Need 2 Volunteers.

2. Stations 1&2 Artwork Submission and Pumpkin Voting, Building 4-149, (2:30-4:30 & 4-6:30) Help pass out candy, set-up pumpkin submissions for adults, give participation prizes to children for sharing artwork, help people with voting on their favorite carved pumpkin, assist in station break-down and clean-up from 6:30-7. Need 2 Volunteers.

3. Station 3: Snacks and Drinks, Building 4-149, (4-6:30) Help stock refreshments in hallway, make sure people don't enter classroom 149 with food. Break-down and clean up from 6:30-7. Need 1 Volunteers.

4. Station 8: Trick-or-Treat & Prizes. Building 4-149, (2:30-4:30 & 4-6:30). Pass out candy. Help explain the trick-or-treating process in Room 149, help people get candy and learn about how to get participation prizes. Break-down and clean up from 6:30-7. Need 2 Volunteers.

5. Station 9: Spooky Video.  Building 4-149, (2:30-4:30 & 4-6:30). Pass out candy. Make sure videos run smoothly and that computer equipment is working properly. Break-down and clean up from 6:30-7. Need 2 Volunteers.
