Wondering how to mount a successful job search in this highly 
competitive academic job market? This workshop presented will discuss 
important elements of preparing a strong application package which 
includes a CV, Cover Letter, Research Statement, Teaching Statement, and 
Diversity Statement. This program is targeted towards all PhD students 
and Postdocs who may prepare for the faculty search now and in the 
future. In addition, actual academic hiring committee interview 
questions from 18 US and 10 International universities will be 
provided.  This workshop is open to Grads, Undergrads, Postdocs and Alumni.

*Negotiating the Job Offer*

*Thursday Oct 12, 2017   E19-202 2:00-3:30pm*

This workshop will examine the many variables that exist during the 
evaluation and negotiation process of Job Offers. How do you know if 
this job is right for you? Salary vs. Total Compensation will be looked 
at. Strategies on the negotiation process will be discussed along with 
should you negotiate and “What Can” and “What Can Not” be negotiated. 
These strategies will be useful throughout your career. This workshop is 
open to Grads, Undergrads, Postdocs and Alumni.
