*REMINDER* - Apply by Monday if interested (If you have already applied,
thank you)

Dear MIT Postdocs,

If you are passionate about your research, eager to have a voice on some
of the decisions that get made behind the scenes, and excited about
interacting with people outside your usual MIT realm, one of these
opportunities may be right for you. Participating on Institute
Committees is a great way to engage in service activities and represent
the postdoc community at the university level.

Each of the Institute Committees
<https://facultygovernance.mit.edu/committees-and-councils> listed below
is looking for one postdoc to join their meetings and efforts. These are
all “Standing Institute Committees Appointed by the President.”

Community Service Fund Board
<https://facultygovernance.mit.edu/committee/community-service-fund-board>

Council on Family and Work
<https://facultygovernance.mit.edu/committee/council-family-and-work>

Committee on Intellectual Property
<https://facultygovernance.mit.edu/committee/committee-intellectual-property>

Committee on Toxic Chemicals
<https://facultygovernance.mit.edu/committee/committee-toxic-chemicals>

If you are interested in being considered, please apply here
<https://form.jotform.us/71935327146156>*by noon Monday, July 24.* MIT
faculty committee chairs will review the applications, and appointments
are made by the President of MIT. The last two listed report to Vice
President for Research Maria Zuber.

Thanks to the efforts of the MIT Postdoctoral Association in partnership
with the Office of the Vice President for Research, postdocs are
represented on a number of MIT committees. This is in addition to
opportunities directly with the PDA. We will let you know when other
openings arise.

Sincerely,

Regards,

Dana and Augusto
