Dear MIT Postdocs,

In January at MIT there are LOTS of professional development events. 
Here is some information to help you plan ahead.  Read the weekly MIT 
Postdoctoral Association newsletter for additional events. Also, 
December 18th is the deadline for applying to the MIT Impact Program - 
see details at the end of this message.

(1) *MIT's Independent Activity Period (IAP) will run from Jan. 8 - Feb 
2, 2018.*
Many classes and activities meet for one hour and are free.

The topics are endless, including engineering, skill development 
(presentations, teaching, communication, leadership, research), patents, 
start-ups, data management, figure skating, dancing, music, and much 
more. Most sessions are open to postdocs. Some require pre-registration.
