The Art of Behavioral Interviewing Tuesday April 11th 1:30-3:00pm Loc: 1-190
While your technical skills will get you the interview, it is your behavioral attributes that will get you the job. This session facilitated by Bob Dolan will discuss the preparation and strategies for a successful interview, both for industry and academia. In addition, actual academic committee questions and sample behavioral interview questions will be provided along with tips on how to prepare and answer those tough questions. This workshop is open to undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs and alumni.

This workshop will examine the many variables that exist during the evaluation and negotiation process of Job Offers, both industry and academia. How do you know if this job is right for you? Salary vs. Total Compensation will be looked at. Strategies on the negotiation process will be discussed along with should you negotiate and "What Can" and "What Can Not" be negotiated. These strategies are used throughout your career. This workshop is open to Grads, Undergrads, Postdocs and Alumni.
