/On behalf of the 2016 Path of Professorship(POP) planning team, I write
to ask for your assistance in getting the word out to graduate and
postdoctoral *women* in your department/program about our annual POP
workshop (Feel free to simply forward this email). //As you may know,
this 1.5 day workshop provides women who are considering academic
careers in science, technology, engineering and math with insights,
tools, strategies and insider information that will help them to be
successful in their job search and on the tenure track. /
/Over the course of the workshop, participants will hear from more than
20 extraordinary women faculty from diverse institutions, and they will
have an opportunity to network with approximately 70 women with similar
aspirations. /

/This year, we have the honor of hearing from former MIT President Susan
Hockfield, who will be our reception speaker on Friday evening./

/Preference for participation in the workshop is given to graduate women
students who are within 2 years of degree completion./
