Good Afternoon-
My name is Sara Classen and I work at the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery
Foundation <alzdiscovery.org> and we are hosting our 11^th Annual Drug
Discovery for Neurodegeneration: An Educational Course on Translating
Research into Drugs <http://worldeventsforum.com/addf/drugdiscovery/> on
February 12-14, 2017 at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego – Mission
Valley in San Diego, CA. This didactic conference will educate
scientists on the processes of translating basic research into novel
therapies and will leave participants with a strong knowledge base and
relevant resources to address the associated barriers and challenges in
developing a drug. The programs will also highlight case studies of
small molecule and biologics programs at different stages of development
aimed at tackling challenging CNS targets relevant to neurodegenerative
diseases.
We also offer 30 Young Investigator Scholarships
<http://worldeventsforum.com/addf/drugdiscovery/scholarships/>, which
are awarded to graduate students or post-doc fellows based on their
submitted applications. The scholarship provides the following:
1.The top 5 scholarship winners will receive hotel accommodations
2.A single conference registration for all winners
3.Opportunity to present a research poster for all winners
4.Name recognition in the program and website for all winners
I was hoping you would be able to help promote this scholarship
opportunity out to your graduate students and post-doc fellows in the
neuroscience and related departments. I’ve provided a short
conference/scholarship description below and attached our flyer* to help
with the outreach. [*not being forwarded]
Please let me know if you need any additional information and thank you
for helping support our organization!
All the best,
Sara
