Dear all,

My name is Nemo, and I am a Graduate Community Fellow. I work on the
DSLx Life Learning initiative, and we are currently developing a "life
learning website" for MIT students. The idea behind the website is to
put student life online: to have a place where MIT students can go to
learn nonacademic skills such as leadership development, conflict
resolution, ethics, how to balance school and life, etc. Moreover, the
information on the website will be presented through micro learning,
which means it is delivered in small chunks, so that students can absorb
it quickly and create their own learning pathway.

We have planned a microlearning contest that runs through February, as
well as workshop sessions in IAP. We hope that the contest and sessions
will help generate interest among students for the Life Learning site,
involve as many students as possible in our process, and also teach
students about micro learning. That being said, if you could forward the
email below to students in your department that would be greatly
appreciated.

Showcase your creativity and help your peers at the same time!
Participate in MIT’s inaugural Teach It Yourself Contest and contribute
your ideas to MIT’s new Life Learning
