*March 8: **Exploring Careers in DATA SCIENCE; 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. 
Location: 2-105. *Data scientists work with enormous data sets, often 
from unconventional, unwieldy, nonlinear sources. Some develop 
innovative technology to work with that data. Some focus on techniques 
to derive meaningful implications from that data. Job titles vary and 
may include data engineer, data scientist, statistician, and data 
analyst. Whatever their title, there is currently a dramatic shortage of 
these professionals in the country and in the world. During this 
session, alumni and representatives from different industries will talk 
about the way their company is using data science, and the career paths
