Written in 1960, Medtronic’s Mission dictates that its first and foremost
priority is to contribute to human welfare: “To contribute to human welfare
by application of biomedical engineering in the research, design,
manufacture, and sale of instruments or appliances that alleviate pain,
restore health, and extend life.”

On January 20th, healthcare leadership within the Medtronic and Hospital
communities will come together on the MIT campus to discuss Information
Technology trends and opportunities (~80 people).

We invite you to submit a one-paragraph innovation pitch in answer to the
following question: *To improve chronic care outcomes, how can Medtronic
leverage technology solutions and data to successfully align itself with
The Triple Aim?*

The top 10 submissions will be selected (see SELECTION PROCESS below) and
10 postdocs will be asked to present at the event  (see EVENT DETAILS
below). During lunch, a panel of judges will determine and announce the
winner of the $1,000 prize.

SELECTION PROCESS

   - Submision of pitch by January 2, 2017 to roberts5 at mit.edu
   - Notification of 10 postdocs selected by January 6, 2017
   - Live pitch at Medtronic event on January 20, 2017

EVENT DETAILS

Time/Date: January 20, 2017 at 11:15 AM

Location: ILP offices at One Main Street, Cambridge, MA, 12th floor

Time allotted for pitch: 3min pitch/2min Q&A

Benefit: Exposure to Medtronic and Hospital IT leaders

Prize: $1000



(Participants will be asked to stay for lunch (12:15 – 1:15) for the
announcement of the winner. )
