To All Postdocs and PIs planning to submit an application to the Banting 
Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Banting Fellowship Application requires a letter of Institutional 
Commitment.

This Institutional letter will be provided by the Vice President for 
Research.   In order to ensure adequate time for us to prepare this 
letter, please submit the following materials to Corey Schenck, 
cschenck at mit.edu <mailto:cschenck at mit.edu> and Debra Martin, 
debra at mit.edu <mailto:debra at mit.edu>, *by Monday, September 14, 2015.*


     1. A very brief email or letter from their prospective supervisor
        confirming that the applicant will be accepted as a postdoc in
        his/her lab if awarded a Banting
     2. Supervisor's endorsement statement of synergy between the
        institution's strategic priorities and applicant's proposed
        research program
