Good Morning Postdocs and Families,
Given the rain and predictions for some lightning this afternoon, we have decided to move the beach day until tomorrow. The forecasts for tomorrow are beautiful, so we hope most of you can still make it then!

Here are the updated details:
Who: Postdocs, family, and friends
What: day at the beach with games, swimming, and other fun
Where: Meet at Carson Beach <http://www.bostonharborwalk.com/placestogo/location.php?nid=6&sid=45> to the left about 100yards from McCormack Bath House. Map and directions are pasted below. This beach has public bathrooms and showers, bocce, chess, waves, fishing, first aid, and lifeguards.
Why: nature is essential for science.
When: Sunday, July 18. Come and go as you please from 11-6pm. We'll send an email to those who have RSVPed by 8am Sunday if we decide to cancel due to weather. The forecast looks excellent for tomorrow, so plan on coming and wearing sunscreen!
How: Bring a towel and your beach gear (bathing suit, boogie boards, whatever you have). And RSVP.
Directions:
Many options for arrival:
- Take the Red Line to JFK/UMass,
- drive and use the free public parking
- walk or bike
- take bus route 5,8,11,16,41.
We are planning to plant our towels about 100yards northeast of the McCormack Bath House. Text me if you can't find us.
