Postdocs: MIT Solve-a-thon 2015, October 5-8, Register now & win cash prizes!

Hi Postdocs,

There's a new MIT initiative called Solve (solve.mit.edu) that is a joint
production of the MIT Technology Review and the Office of the
President. Solve’s mission is to inspire extraordinary people to work
together to solve the world’s toughest problems.

Solve is working with the MIT Postdoctoral Association, Graduate Student
Council, and Undergraduate Association to create a smaller-scale version of
the exciting Solve event happening on campus from October 5-8. This
"Solve-a-thon"
(gsc.mit.edu/solve) will bring together postdocs, graduate students,
undergraduates, and members of the MIT community for a hackathon-style
event to explore one of the four Pillars of Solve (
http://solve.mit.edu/pillars).

The teams with the best ideas, as judged by a panel of editors from the
Tech Review, esteemed academics, and high-level MIT administrators, will be
awarded *cash prizes* and opportunities to meet with the world-class
problem-solvers at Solve in October.

*Registration is now open, and we expect the available slots to fill up
