*Career Connect – Spring 2015*

The Career Connect program brings together MIT HR professionals, MIT 
professors and recruiters to provide training for spouses and partners 
looking for job opportunities and professional development during their 
time at MIT. You are welcome to participate no matter where you are in 
the job search process. We think our sessions will be especially 
beneficial to anyone who is currently searching for a job in the United 
States for the first time, or who is changing careers.

10:00am - 12:00pm: American Cultural Norms in the Workplace
12:00 - 1:30pm: Networking lunch and activities

We will Kick-off the spring series with a workshop on American cultural 
norms in the workplace presented by Jennifer Recklet Tassi, followed by 
a Networking lunch and ice-breaking activities. You will learn about 
American values and how they shape behavior in the workplace. We will 
discuss Americans' optimism, their obsession with time and efficiency, 
and the importance of equality and achievement. By learning more about 
the "American personality", you will be better able to present yourself 
in a job search and navigate successfully in an American workplace. To
