The Academy is currently recruiting STEMists (typically graduate
students or postdoctoral fellows) for the ASMP. Mentors will be trained
on one of several curriculum ranging from Life Sciences to Computer
Programming and be placed in pairs at one of more than 100 unique
afterschool sites near where they work, study, or live. Mentors begin
meeting with their sites once a week in late October through early May.
To date, the program has engaged over 1000 young scientists, delivering
more than 130,000 learning hours to a population of 8,000+ middle-school
