This prestigious award honors chapters that have achieved a number of 
goals in AWIS’s Strategic Plan. These goals include advocating for a 
positive system transformation, helping all women in STEM achieve 
success, and maximizing our impact by optimizing organization 
capacity. Our board members, volunteers and members helped 
our chapter accomplish these goals and win the Star Award the past two 
years. We hope to continue to succeed as a chapter and provide events 
and opportunities for women in STEM.

*The April 24th deadline for the MASS AWIS Member Scholarship is fast 
approaching!*
The Chapter has a number of women interested in joining as members; 
however due to unemployment or underemployment, they cannot afford to 
pay annual dues (National and Chapter). The goal of the scholarship is 
to effectively provide financial assistance for qualified unemployed or 
underemployment applicants seeking Professional, Junior or Student 
memberships. Retrospective reimbursement is also available to those who 
qualify and has already paid their dues within the past year.
/Graduate students and Post-Docs
are encouraged to apply./
