Meet an EMBA

Hi Postdocs,

Do you have an idea you would like some feedback on from someone with 
business experience? Do you want to discuss which of your projects might 
be marketable? Or do you just want to talk with some executive MBAs and 
see what the world looks like from their point of view? Then come and 
meet an Executive MBA!

The MIT PDA together with the Sloan Executive MBA class of 2015 is 
hosting a mixer on May 29th at 6pm in E51-085. The evening will consist 
of two parts: an opportunity to discuss your ideas in small groups with 
professionals from your area of expertise or interest, and then a more 
general mixer / networking event.

The MIT Executive MBA is a rigorous 20-month executive-schedule MBA 
degree program designed for mid-career executives poised at pivotal 
junctures in their careers. The program was developed for individuals 
with over 10 years of post-undergrad business experience. Some 
statistics concerning the MIT EMBA Class of 2015: 112 global executives; 
88% director-level and above; 40 average age; 16.3 average years of work 
experience; 42% international origin; 50% advanced degrees. As for 
industry and market backgrounds: 23% life sciences; 16% consulting 
services; 10% software and technology; 10% financial services; 5% 
energy/mining/chemicals; 7% education; 4% aerospace & defense; 4% 
government & military; 2% Other (media, retail, real estate; food).
