All,

In case there is any confusion:

1) The poker game is free and is FAKE gambling with a set amount of chips we provide to you at the beginning of the tournament.

2) "No Limit" refers to the fact that you can bet all of your chips at any time in the game.

3) NO REAL MONEY is involved to play in the poker tournament! Except we will be spending REAL money to buy everyone REAL food and REAL drinks!

I hope this clarifies things and alleviates any concerns about real gambling. I also hope this increases the number of registered players!

Dear MIT Postdocs,

Come out and participate in the MIT Postdoc Poker/Game Night on Friday May 23 from 6:00 – 10:00 PM. There will be a No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em single elimination tournament starting around 7:00 PM with prizes for the top 3 players! The first hour everyone can grab something to eat and we will go over the rules and play a few warm up hands. There is no entry fee, but we need an RSVP if you are going to participate in the tournament! Please RSVP by Monday, May 12 to secure your seat in the tournament.

Not the poker or fake gambling type? We will provide food and drinks for the event and additional card & board games for people not participating in the tournament or for after elimination. No RSVP is required if you are NOT going to participate in the tournament.
