Dear MIT Postdocs,

This is a follow up to the message I sent out January 30. This symposium
is not sponsored by MIT, but will be held on campus (please see link
below for registration, fee, and agenda information):

*The Scientista Symposium 2014*

"Scientistas Speak Out: The Importance of Communication in Science"

*Date*: Saturday, April 5th, 2014
*Time*: 9 am - 4 pm
*Location*: Wong Auditorium, Tang Center, Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT)

I wrote Julia Tartaglia, Scientista Co-Founder, to ask if this was open
to postdocs and if so, if postdocs are eligible for the student rate.
Please see her reply, below.

Regards,
Dana

From Julia Tartaglia (julia at scientistafoundation.com) (3/29/14):
Thanks for reaching out! We are thrilled that you are interested in
promoting the event to your listserv. The Scientista Symposium's target
audience is student women in STEM (undergraduates and graduates).
However, the event is open to anyone, and post docs are more than
welcome to attend. There is an undergraduate research symposium that
will take place in the foyer, which may be something that post docs
would enjoy attending. You can see a full schedule here:
http://www.scientistafoundation.com/symposium-2014.html

It would also be great if your post docs could forward the invitation to
any students that they work with.

The postdoctoral research fellows would not qualify for the student
rate, but as an MIT affiliate we would be happy to provide you with a
*25% off discount code*: SCIENTISTA .

For the email invitation, feel free to take the language from the
symposium website or reuse the first email without the call for
abstracts. Let me know if you need additional information!

Best wishes,
Julia
