Applications are invited from fresh PhDs, M.Ds, postdocs and junior 
faculty (from all disciplines of science and engineering) keen on 
pursuing scientific career in India, to attend the sixth Annual Young 
Investigator Meet (YIM) Boston being held from Oct 11-13, 2014 at MIT, 
Cambridge MA.

'YIM Boston 2014' meet is an interactive platform for global scientists 
to learn about India's radically changing innovation system and its 
growing need for dynamic leaders. YIM is a unique opportunity for 
scientists to interact with leaders from Indian science and technology. 
Our elite panel comprises of prominent Indian scientists, policy makers, 
representatives from Indian funding agencies and industries, directors 
of major national institutes and clinicians. (please refer to our 
website for speakers and participating institutes). Through series of 
structured talks and discussion forums, 'YIM Boston 2014' meet will 
emphasize to address prospects, growth, mentorship, challenges, 
resources and collaborations within the new/emerging academic scenario 
in India. Towards this, 30 + potential faculty candidates will be short 
listed based on their research achievements and vision statement, to 
present their work and interact with future faculty screening committee 
members.

In the last 5 years, we received over 1300 applications, and shortlisted 
about 200, of which over 60 are now back in India as a result of the 
linkages they established at YIM. Our success rate encourages us to 
organize this meeting every year!
