Tony Eng, Senior Lecturer in EECS, has shared information about a series 
that may interest you.

MIT Can Talk, IAP* 2014 (*Independent Activities Period)

*A series of independent workshop sessions on public speaking/oral 
communication will be offered from January 24 -- 29^th . These are meant 
to be practical and hands-on, and are open [and free] to all members of 
the MIT community and beyond. Come to as many or as few as you like! *

Many of the great thinkers of the past, the so called "Renaissance Men", 
excelled in both Engineering/Science and Exposition/Rhetoric/Oration.MIT 
engineers and scientists of today, the creative men and women who will 
be the leaders of tomorrow, can as well. "MIT Can Talk" was organized to 
promote campus-wide awareness of good oral communication skills.

(There is also a related competition that is open to MIT students only.)
