Subject: Invitation to Sunovion Round Table Discussion

Dear postdocs,

On behalf of Sunovion Pharmaceuticals of Marlborough, MA, the MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) and the PDA Professional Development Committee would like to invite MIT postdocs with an interest in the future of the pharmaceutical industry to participate in an informal lunch discussion with senior leaders from Sunovion on November 7th from 11:00am - 1:00pm at MIT (details on location to come). Please note that recruiting is not an objective of this meeting.

For the interest of MIT participants, Sunovion visitors will share their career experience in the pharmaceutical industry. There will be a round table discussion of the questions below following an introduction by Sunovion explaining why these questions are important to the industry.

a. How will the healthcare environment evolve?
b. What will the trend of healthcare delivery be like (e.g., will it be more product based? more service based?).
c. What will be the main drivers for changes in healthcare (e.g., technology? regulation? demography?)
d. What new thinking would you recommend that pharmaceutical companies adopt?

There are space and food limitations so please respond quickly by filling out the questionnaire found here (it should take 2 min): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2KY2T56.

Best regards,
John Roberts - Senior Industrial Liaison Officer
Nan Li - PDA Professional Development Chair
