ATTENTION MIT POSTDOCS! Professor Ed Bertschinger, Co-chair, Institute Diversity Summit 2013 and the other planners are looking for postdoc participation.
All MIT postdocs are encouraged to register for the Institute Diversity Summit:
Meritocracy and Inclusion at MIT: Principles or Practices?
January 30, 2013, 8:30 am-4 pm (attend some or all of it)

Recently, MIT President Reif sent news about this to the MIT community.  Postdocs are an important element of the MIT community, and even though we are here only for a short while, we have much to gain from participating in such conversations. The Summit will help inform and elevate the discussion about meritocracy, diversity and inclusion not only at MIT but also in the wider academic community through the impact of MIT ambassadors, especially postdocs.  Moreover, the experience gained by engaging such conversations is helpful professional preparation for anyone working with other people, be it in an academic or corporate setting.
