Information session with Duane Ratliff, Center for the Advancement for Science in Space (CASIS)
Tuesday 12 February, 4:00pm in the MIT Hewlett Reading Room, G882, Stata Center

The MIT Postdoctoral Association and the Industrial Liaison Program at MIT invite you to a question & answer seminar with Duane Ratliff, chief operations officer at the Center for the Advancement for Science in Space (CASIS), a NASA subsidiary organizing research on the International Space Station (www.iss-casis.org).

Duane wishes to reach postdoctoral researchers at MIT for bringing new projects in microgravity environment. The main areas are: Materials, crystallography (both protein and regular), ossification and bone, sensors and observation, and anything else that is interesting and relevant. The CASIS has an educational outreach and holds a 100K competition for researchers. If your project gets selected, you get a flight to the ISS.

The postdoctoral association at MIT is very exited in hosting this event.

I wish many of us will attend the seminar on next Tuesday, and share questions.
