We are looking for postdocs who want to get some teaching experience before starting their academic career. The postdoc’s responsibility will be teaching a 2 hours physics recitation class of about 15 students once a week. The day and time will be arranged according to the availability of the candidate.
The goal of the class is to review basic physics concepts and mathematical procedures that the students need in order to succeed in their problem sets. The ESG physics instructors will provide the material but they are open to any pedagogical initiative that the postdoc could bring.
This is a non-paid position. We hope that the reward is the teaching experience that our community can offer to the postdoc. The small size of our classes allows a flexible and relax teaching environment where students and instructors learn and teach interactively.
If you are interested to commit to teach 8.01 in the fall semester or 8.02 in the spring please contact Analia Barrantes (analiab at mit.edu). Classes start on Wednesday September 4!
