Dear Colleagues:

Please note the Careers Across MIT event has been rescheduled for *May 
^7th from 12 to 2 pm at Walker Memorial. *

On May 7th we will be hosting a unique venue for staff to explore their 
career options internally here at MIT.  "Careers Across MIT" will offer 
employees a chance to network with their peers from a variety of DLCs, 
learn about different career paths and development opportunities and see 
how others are using social media to advance their careers.  We hope 
that many will take advantage of this opportunity to learn about 
different areas across campus and expand their professional networks.

Representatives from the DLCs: DUE, Facilities, IS&T, Lincoln 
Laboratory, Media Lab, MIT Medical, Office of Sponsored Programs, 
Resource Development, Skoltech, Sloan, School of Engineering, School of 
Science, and Vice President for Finance,  will be on hand to share 
information about their work/services and types of positions in their 
areas. You can also learn about a number of roles, including 
Administrative Assistants, Administrative Officers, Financial Officers 
and Human Resources Generalist. In addition, you will have an 
opportunity to learn about the role social media plays in yourcareer 
exploration.

*Please encourage your employees to stop by our "open house" event on 
Tuesday, May 7 between 12:00 and 2:00 pm at Walker Memorial.  Please 
forward this to people you think may want to attend.*
