Announcing McKinsey & Company's Insight Programs, and Inviting
Applications
McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm with nearly 9,000
consultants in 90 offices across 50 countries, is hosting several
exciting summer programs for students working towards advanced
professional degrees. These programs offer non-MBA advanced degree
students a closer look at management consulting. Each of the
comprehensive seminars will cover a range of topics important to those
who are exploring alternative career possibilities.

Science Policy Fellowship
/_Job Summary_//_
_/This paid, temporary position in our Alexandria, Virginia office
reports to the Director of Science Policy. The fellow assists the
organization with its mission to make research to improve health a
higher national priority through education, advocacy and public policy
activities. Fellowships are typically 3 month appointments. Preferred
start date is April 9, 2012.
/_Job Description_/
The science policy fellow will:
· Track relevant policy issues, including budget and appropriations
legislation
· Perform background research and write to support the development of
fact sheets, newsletter articles and the web site
· Complete and present a self-directed project on a science policy
topic relevant to the mission of Research!America
· Provide project support on various Research!America initiatives
· Attend briefings and hearings on Capitol Hill and coalition meetings

/_Eligibility_/_
_Those with a PhD are eligible for the fellowship. Candidates should
have a strong science background and excellent oral and written
communication skills. Familiarity with the medical, health, as well as
non-life sciences research sectors and the federal policy structures
that impact the funding and regulation of research is preferred.
Candidates must have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software.
