Invitation to 12th Annual Henry W. Kendall Memorial Lecture

Dear Colleague:

The Center for Global Change Science, the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS), and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology cordially invite you to attend the Twelfth Annual Henry W. Kendall Memorial Lecture, entitled:

"How Can We Feed A Growing World

and Sustain the Planet?"

 Presented by Professor Jonathan Foley

Director, Institute on the Environment (IonE)

University of Minnesota.

The lecture will be given on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. in the Wong Auditorium, Room 115 of the Tang Center, Building E51,  MIT.  A reception will be held immediately following the lecture in the Ida M. Green Room, Building 54, 9th floor, Room 923.  All are cordially invited.

Henry Kendall was a Nobel Laureate in Physics and an MIT Professor with a deep commitment to understanding and finding solutions to the multiple environmental problems facing the world today and in the future.  The permanently endowed Kendall Lecture allows MIT faculty and students to be introduced by leading researchers to forefront areas in global change science.
