Dr. Stuart Licht earned his BS degree from Princeton University, PhD 
degree from MIT, and completed two postdocs, one at the Scripps Research 
Institute and the other at UC Berkeley. He then joined the MIT faculty 
as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry. He left this 
position when he was recruited by Novartis. He has since moved to 
Sanofi-Aventis, where he is Lab Head. Dr. Licht will talk about making 
the transition from Academia to Industry and will discuss his experience 
with working in industry.
