Are you thinking about going back to work?  Unsure whether you want to 
return to the same type of work you had in your home country or change 
careers?  Are you wondering where to begin and how to address the gap in 
your employment?

Successfully getting back into a job or career takes more than just 
writing a new resume! It requires planning and preparation for yourself 
and your family. In today's meeting, Yvonne Lefort, career counselor, 
will talk about the process of transitioning back into the work force.  
She will discuss the issues surrounding going back to work and how to 
begin preparing for re-entry into the workforce. You will walk away with 
tips and a plan for making your transition smoother.

About the instructor:

Yvonne Lefort, MA, develops and leads programs for international spouses 
and partners at the University of California - Berkeley. She teaches a 
6-week long course called "Creating a Fulfilling Life in America." 
  Yvonne is a Career Consultant and Intercultural Trainer in private 
practice, and a faculty member at Diablo Valley College.
