Dear Dana,

I am the interim director of the Postdoctoral Professional Masters in 
Bioscience Management (PPM) program at the Keck Graduate Institute 
(KGI). If you haven't heard of KGI before, we are a member of the 
Claremont Colleges and we offer an accredited MBA-level training program 
focused on the life sciences industry for postdocs and Ph.D.?s. The PPM 
program is designed to give students business and management skills so 
that they can pursue management positions within the life sciences 
industry or embark on entrepreneurial ventures to commercialize 
technologies developed in laboratories.

I wanted to let you know about a unique opportunity for Ph.D.?s and 
postdocs who are interested in a career outside of academia. In 
collaboration with Life Technologies, KGI will be hosting a webinar on 
Jan 5^th from 2-3pm for postdocs and graduate students on the ?Life 
Technologies Corporate Postdoctoral Residency program.? Dr. Jon 
Chestnut, a Senior Director at Life Technologies, will discuss the 
program and answer attendee?s questions. This program leads to both 
corporate research experience and a Postdoctoral Professional Masters 
(PPM) degree in Bioscience Management from KGI. After finishing the 
program, there is an opportunity for a 1-year postdoctoral research 
residency with the Life Technologies.
