Subject: National Research Council (NRC) Postdoctoral Competition

NIST will participate in the National Research Council (NRC) 
postdoctoral competition with the May 1, 2010, deadline. This will be 
the second competition for selecting the postdoctoral associates from 
the contract that NIST has awarded to the NRC to administer the NIST 
NRC American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) postdoctoral 
research program.

It is expected to award approximately 10 additional postdoctoral 
positions with this competition. As a reminder, the NIST NRC ARRA 
postdoctoral associates under this program will come to NIST as 
domestic guest researchers and be paid through the NRC. The postdocs 
selected from this competition are still required to have U.S. 
citizenship, and the length of the postdoctoral associateship will 
remain a maximum of two years. NRC should have the application Web 
site for the May 1st deadline open shortly.
