***JR. SCIENTIST SURVIVAL TRAINING- PETER FEIBELMAN EVENT***

Peter Feibelman is a Senior Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories 
and author of the book, A PhD Is Not Enough. This workshop will focus 
on ways to
establish a scientific identity and how to persuade the scientific 
community it wants the jr. scientists as a member. He will 
specifically discuss:
·         How does a student becomes a "permanent member" of the 
scientific community
·         Helping students assess who is their audience and what they 
expect from the student
·         Helping students understand how to get the freedom to 
define their own research and obtain funds to make it happen.
