The Postdoctoral Scholars Advisory Council is sponsoring the 2 events
below that we think will be of interest to postdocs. Please pass the
word and plan to join us. The Project Management workshop promises
to be very interesting.

Postdoc Boot Camp - Tuesday, January 22, 2008, 1pm, 68-181

Whether you're new to MIT or have been here awhile, you're sure to
learn something from this panel discussion with staff from the Office
of the Provost, Controller's Office, the Medical Department, the
Housing Office and the Office of Sponsored Programs, and a member of
the Postdoctoral Scholars Advisory Council.

We'll discuss the differences between an associate and a fellow,
housing options, funding opportunities for postdocs (and beyond) and
the new electronic proposal process, and learn about the Council's
activities on behalf of the postdoc community.

Please join our panelists: Marilyn Smith, Office of the Provost,
Brenda Minesinger, Dept. of Biology, Fred Crowley, Controller's
Office, Lucy Walsh, Medical Dept., Linda Patton, Off-Campus Housing,
Alicia Hunt, On-Campus Housing, and Colleen Leslie, Office of
Sponsored Programs.
