MIT Postdocs,

The beginning of summer marks the start of the Academic Career
Series, a series of four panel discussions centered on issues
relating to academic careers, organized jointly by the Graduate
Student Council, the Postdoc Advisory Council, and the MIT Career's
Office.

The first session in this series will take place Wednesday June 8th,
4pm in room 10-250, and the topic is "Why Choose an Academic
Career?". We have several MIT and non-MIT faculty panelists that will
give short presentations and then answer questions from students.

The ACS has been well attended by postdocs in recent years. We have
attached a poster which will tell you more about our panelists. We
will send posters for the remaining three session later this summer.
For more information, see http://web.mit.edu/provost/pds.html .

Many thanks,
Janet Fischer, Yu Chen, Yuxing Ben
