MIT List Visual Arts Center's upcoming public programs:

Friday, April 29, 6:30 PM, Bartos Theatre
Lecture by Debra Singer
Debra Singer, executive director and chief curator of the
internationally renown performance and new media space "The Kitchen"
will discuss her vision for the future of the organization. Singer
was until recently a curator at the Whitney Museum and was one of the
curators of the 2004 Whitney Biennial.
This program is in conjunction with the Cyberarts Festival.

Lecture, "The Minimal Unconscious" by James Meyer
Leroy and Dorothy Lavine Lecture Series
This lecture will consider problems in the production methods of
minimalist art during the sixties and seventies as revealed in the
collecting practices of one of its leading patrons, Giuseppe di
Panza. Meyer is Associate Professor of Art History at Emory
University and author of "Minimalism (Themes and Movements),"
published in 2000 by Phaidon Press.
In honor of two prominent Boston art patrons and long time supporters
of the MIT List Visual Arts Center, the Leroy and Dorothy Lavine
Lecture Series was established to bring to the community
distinguished art world figures for talks on modern and contemporary
art.
