postdoc survey results

We are pleased to announce that the results of the recent survey of 
the current MIT postdoctoral population have been posted on the 
Postdoctoral Scholars homepage -- http://web.mit.edu/mitpostdocs/ - 
access by clicking on the link on the left hand side of the page 
under News, Photos, Links.  This will take you to a summary of the 
survey results; the full survey with responses is appended separately 
as a pdf file.

We thank everyone who took the time to respond to this survey, and 
particularly want to acknowledge the help of the Postdoctoral 
Scholars Advisory Council. We also thank the survey's sponsors, the 
Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for 
Research, as well as Information Systems and the Provost's Office of 
Institutional Research, who provided technical help and analysis.

Informed by the survey results, the Advisory Council continues to 
meet on a bi-monthly basis, to plan events and activities, and to 
advocate for policy changes that will enhance the quality of life for 
postdocs at MIT.
